Holiday Sew A Softie Roundup 2017

Roundup of Christmas and Holiday hand sewing tutorials for making softies

Have you heard of "Sew A Softie"? It's a great yearly event where sewing bloggers get together and contribute a tutorial for how to hand-sew a little stuffed something. This year the organizer, Trixi Symonds of Coloured Buttons has added "Sew A Softie for Christmas and the festive season."

I'll be contributing a softie on Dec 14th and I'll be sharing a round-up of links for each softie so you can get the tutorials of your favorites and of course make your own! You can see them each day on my Instagram as well!

Most of the tutorials use simple embroidery and hand stitches like French Knot, Running Stitch, Back Stitch and Slip Stitch. Get a refresher on your embroidery stitches like French Knot, Running Stitch and Back  before you start. I use Slip Stitch to close stuffing openings because it practically invisible, learn the basics of the Slip Stitch here.
