A Real Sneak Peek at the Junior League of Raleigh's Shopping Spree
I have to be honest - I've never been to The Junior League of Raleigh's Annual Shopping Spree.*
It's just so B-I-G. Frankly, I'm a little intimidated by any event held in the Raleigh Convention Center. I have a hard time shopping in general and being surrounded by so many choices - I don't know if my heart could take it.
A peek down the main hall toward the Cafe shows an incredibly beautiful chandelier hung from the sky high ceiling.
But, when I got an offer to check it out from the safety of a friend's booth, I just couldn't resist! Had I known this adventure would involve a joy ride up the convention center's loading ramp right onto the meeting space floor, I might have jumped on board sooner!
Here is your inside peek at the Spree! That is, before it's booths are overflowing with goodies and it's walkways filled up with happy shoppers. For the after, check out my favorite booths in this post.

Junior League volunteers were everywhere! Helping vendors get their gear inside and putting on their own finishing touches - like wrapping boxes for under the Christmas Trees with sparkly paper and bows.
Rows and rows of white tablecloth-covered tables waiting for vendors to come fill them up. Across our row, a booth specializing in tailored women's clothes was setting up. I'll be checking that one out!
Here's my friend's booth - Cody Designs. Center Aisle in spot #619, please stop by and say "Hi!." I'll be there Thursday and Saturday, but Bonnie will be there the entire Spree! Here's a list of other vendors. Wow!
Lots of Frozen pillow cases (see Christophe in the bottom right corner?). Boy's, NFL Sports and adult pillow cases fill the rest of the booth.
A view of Downtown Raleigh taken as I was driving in to setue. It was quite easy to get into the Convention Center. So I won't mind driving back in again tomorrow,
Stayed tuned! Tomorrow I'll share photos of the same space teeming with shoppers and I'll show you some of the booth's that really caught my eye!
