For the love of our furry friends | Coping with pet loss
Losing a furry friend can be devastating. As I prepare my own home for a new puppy to fill an empty spot left by my children who are no longer toddling around my knees, I find myself reminiscing about all of the furry friends that have shared my life. For me, this pillow says it all about my relationship with my sweet furry friends.

Last year, a close friend shared that her father had lost his companion of 12 years - Duke. She wanted to celebrate Duke for her dad, so together we designed the Pet Loss pillow. Since then, this pillow has found it's way into the homes of many humans coping with loss of their furry friends.
A red one as a reminder of Hercules who always looked bright in red up in Massachusetts.

And the original, for Duke who kept his pop company for 12 wonderful years in New York.

And even this Dog is a Girl's Best Friend pillow really celebrates those special relationships. This one arrived just in time to put a bright spot on an otherwise sad day of good byes for a sweet dog mom in North Carolina.

Never was there a truer sentiment for all of my female dog lovers!
It's so hard to say goodbye to our friends who have warmed our feet and our hearts. It's been wonderful to know that these pillow gifts, given by thoughtful friends and in some cases from the owners to themselves, are loving reminders of the bright light these loyal friends gave to their (our) lives.
