This image from the
Scientific Seamstress pops back up online every now and again and I truly just need to print it for my studio. Don't you just love it?
While the Scientific Seamstress (aka Carla Hegeman Crim) has retired, you can still read through old
posts on her blog and get
some of her fabulous patterns from
Sis Boom (purveyor of fabulous tunic patterns and gorgeous fabrics by
Jennifer Paganelli!).
Incidentally, I have
and love Jennifer's book
Girl's World: Twenty-One Sewing Projects to Make for Little Girls (you can read
my review over on Amazon under B.L. Briggs).*

And have also sewn up her
Devon Peasant Blouse as both a dress and a tunic.
I am trying to dig up old photos of them to share I found a photo of my bicycle dress rendition - and I will say, it is one of the most versatile and forgiving patterns I've ever sewn!
